Rudraksha & Tulsi Mala wear together ~ Karmic Coach
Hare Krishna Blessings !! Om Namah Shivaye !!
The reason why Sanatan dharma (Known as Hinduism) is not easily defined because it’s not quite a religion. Sanatan Dharma is not a limited concept & will never be.
No vedic scriptures does not mention anywhere that wearer of rudraksha can’t wear tulsi beads. The highest universal powers don’t have issues with each other, yet we human are arguing over this. Neither krishna nor shiva or any authoritative figure of sanatan dharma has ever forbidden it.
Some hindus are strong believers and worshipers of Lord Shiva who are termed the “Shivaites “. Similarly, some hindus & especially ISKCON community are believers and followers of Lord “Vishnu” are the “Vaishnavites”. The people who were “Shivaites” preferred “Rudraksha” as it is the creation of Lord Shiva. While on the other hand the worshipers of “Vishnu” preferred Tulsi Bead as it was connected to Lord “Vishnu”.
There was a simmering rivalry in these groups. This lead to the wrong notion that one cannot wear a Rudraksha and Tulsi bead together. As the years went by and the rivalry confined only in the minds and hearts of a few. Such concepts are not as dominant as they were in earlier era.
Rudraksha mala is very auspicious and related to lord Shiva. Rudraksha mala gives a fearless and disease free life so that individual can think the world like the lord shiva thinks. Tulsi mala is dedicated to lord Vishnu and brings vaishnava on wearing. It gives you a cool mind and cool body.
Both are same and equivalent. Both have different purpose and have different benefits on wearing. Rudraksha work on the Chakras in a specific manner to promote healing and positivity. Tulsi beads benefit the wearer in a different way, promoting purification and satvik tendencies. Tulsi is having a lot of medicinal properties. It can be consumed for different medical benefits. Just any part of the plant you take, it will have good health benefits on consumption.
In my limited understanding and knowledge I would suggest that yes u can wear both mala together. The only concern would be that the wearer should be clear in his mind and not even a doubt regarding the fact that both these mala can be worn together. If still the doubt persists in the mind of the wearer, then it is best that not to wear them. Even mother nature cannot work for you if you doubt her.
Further, it is important to understand that both of these beads are Organic Gems and are gifts of nature. Nature does not make such distinctions. These wonderful beads have been offered to mankind as a whole. It is we humans who with our fake theories and egocentric views create such divide. Further, there is no known chemical, electromagnetic field or anything else generated from these beads which are in conflict with each other.
Note: Focus on one mala and do japa/dhyan daily with proper surrender to god. It will give much better results than wearing multiple malas for the sake of just wearing only.
