Navratri Day 9- Siddhidhatri: The Bestower of Fulfillment and Perfection
On the ninth day of Navratri, Mother Divine assumes the form of Siddhidhatri. The name “Siddhidhatri” comes from two words: Siddhi, meaning “fulfillment” or “perfection,” and datri, meaning “giver” or “awarder.” This Goddess grants divine abilities and spiritual powers to those who worship her, helping them achieve success. Siddhidhatri is revered by the gods (Devas), demons (Asuras), and humans alike. In 2024, Navratri falls between October 3rd and October 12th. On this ninth day, many women perform special pujas in their homes, observe fasts, and invite young girls to partake in the prasad (offerings from the puja).
